Portraits with my Parents in Palm Desert, California

Sunset session with my Mom and Dad on our last evening in Palm Desert,
California for my annual Dream Chasers Workshop

I’ve taken many pictures over the years of my family. I think these pictures have officially moved to the top of my favorites list. My parents got a glimpse of my passion for the light in Palm Desert on my final evening in California. It is truly magical. We arrived to this spot 10 minutes early so that
I could perfectly capture the light setting behind the Santa Ana Mountains.

As a photographer, I am on a mission to continue taking pictures of the people I love.

With that being said, I’m also allowing myself the be in the pictures, also. Whether it’s with my husband Shaun, daughter Riley, my siblings, friends, and even alone β€” photographs mater because people matter. It’s the relationships that matter and memories made and stories told through photographs that also matter. Wherever my photography journey takes me, I will never stop taking pictures and documenting the memories of my life with the people I love most.

I’m home from being gone for over two weeks for my annual Dream Chasers Workshop and my heart is full. I have a lot more to share about the event later on but for now, I wanted to share a few of my favorite images from our last night in the desert with the people who helped make my workshop possible, my Mom and Dad!

I love you guys!
