Sun Filled Engagement Session in Cle Elum, Washington
I couldn’t be more excited to get these images up on the blog from a recent engagement session in beautiful Cle Elum, Washington! Growing up in Wenatchee, the Swauk Teanaway Grange is a place I’ve admired for years and have always wanted to visit in person. If you’ve ever driven over Blewett Pass, it’s that beautiful white structure that sits in the middle of that gorgeous clearing right just before the road starts getting more curvy and between the trees. It has always served as the place that tells me I’m on the final stretch of my drive home and has brought me so much comfort over the years.
Due to Covid-19, we had to postpone Sammi and Noah’s engagement session but I was so grateful that it finally was able to happen! I was already in Cle Elum for a wedding the previous day so it worked out perfectly. Their upcoming wedding is set for September and I’m counting down the days! It’s going to be amazing and after our time together for their engagement session, I’m just giddy at the thought of these two in full wedding attire! I mean, they are just gorgeous!
Sammi and Noah met at a New Years Eve party. Sammi’s childhood friend was throwing a party while everyone was home on break from college. The groom-to-be came with a group of friends. They described the first encounter as love at first sight. Electricity, even! I meal talk about the real deal and knowing when you know. These two knew.
Sammi and Noah’s Engagement Story
We went on an ice skating date in Leavenworth (they opened a beautiful outdoor rink for the holiday season). I (Bride) skated when I was little so I had always tried to go with Noah! We were skating around for a bit and he said that he had to fix his skate so we stopped and he got down on one knee...to fix his skate lol but then he said he had something for me and pulled out a ring! I immediately started tearing up as he was talking to me and asking me to marry him! I said yes and was so excited I grabbed the ring from the box and tried to put it on my finger when he asked if he could do that lol! We skated around for awhile more I was just beaming and kept asking him if this was real or a dream! It was beautiful, intimate, and fun. It was everything.
