Stunning fall wedding celebration at Rock Creek Gardens Venue in Puyallup, Washington
Finding photography has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. When I first picked up that camera, I didn’t think I’d ever become a wedding photographer, but I am grateful for taking the leap into the industry for so many different reasons. 1. It has connected me with incredible human beings across the country and 2. I get to work with couples I simply love and adore and who become lifelong friends. There are many more reasons beyond that but those are the top two!
I’m also amazed at the power of social media, word of mouth, and how our paths with one another come to be. Let’s take it back to 2016 when I had the incredible honor of photographing the most perfect Seattle Courthouse elopement with Carly and Austin! I fell in love with not only them, but their families. Fast-forward, Austin’s cousin Jaryn got in touch with me about her upcoming wedding which you can view right here! Through them, I met Kalle and Sterling, which brings us to sharing their beautiful wedding here on the blog! We got together this past winter for an engagement session on Rose Ranch and it was simply perfect. I knew that their wedding day would be just that and so much more.
I love discovering new venues and Rock Creek Gardens in Puyallup did not disappoint!
I wasn’t sure what the weather was going to do but it worked in our favor and could not have been better. It was mostly cloudy with a few bursts of sunlight that were simply to die for, see above feature photo! We were actually finished with their First Look portraits and then the sun made an appearance and I yelled, “STOP!” It was too good to miss!
Kalle and Sterling are absolutely perfect for one another. It was an honor to witness their union and the outpour of love and support from their friends and families. I can’t get enough of this network of people and how much fun they are! I also got to see past clients and their families which always makes me so dang happy! I continually have to pinch myself to bring me back to reality that this is my life and that I get to do this every day!
Sterling and Kalle met in college while attending Central Washington University and they met literally three days before graduation! I mean seriously… talk about fate! He proposed to her at Enchant in Seattle which is a huge Christmas light show at Safeco Field.
Kalle works in Apparel product development at Unionbay Sportswear and Sterling works at Cadman as a sales rep and he also does graphic design on the side.
Their wedding colors were hints of ivory, gold, greenery and rust and came together beautifully on such a beautiful fall day in the Pacific Northwest!
Fun fact: their wedding day also happens to be my anniversary and while I did miss my husband, I was thrilled to share the special day documenting another love story.
