Trying to Spread Some Joy Through Photographs

I’m slightly disappointed with myself for the lack of blogging I’ve been doing lately while under quarantine but I’m also trying to give myself some grace. I’m feeling pretty grateful to continue to be busy with client projects and something I started doing in March which are Front Porch Mini Sessions. I did the first round before we were officially on a Stay Home order per Washington State guidelines from the Governor. They were such a hit that I did them again in April, and we’re doing them again in May!

Before all the haters come at me about these (because trust me there’s been so much negativity around these in the photography community), I want to ensure all that the safety of my clients is my top priority. A 6-10 foot distance was between us at all times and we were always outside. I’m grateful to live in such a great community where we have so much more room to breathe compared to many other parts of the country. At home, my windows are open all day long to catch the cool coastal breeze and I don’t take it for granted. We’ve also been out playing on the ranch as much as possible! This pandemic has definitely made an impact on our lives but not all of it has been negative. There has actually been a lot of positives and helping me get back to my priorities and the things that bring me joy.

One of those “things” is photographing families.

Minis are a fun way for me to do what I love, make myself affordable to nearly everyone and provide a quality end product and of course — hopefully — a fun experience! I pride myself on the experience my clients get with me when we work together whether it’s for a wedding, portraits, or brand and website project. I love working with people. I love making people smile and curating memories to last a lifetime. I have to say my favorite part about these sessions has been not just the families, but seeing all these fun spots I never knew existed in our area! I’ve driven down road I never would have otherwise and getting to see people in their comfort zones has been a true joy.

I wanted to share a highlight reel of the past few weeks and hopefully bring a smile to your face today! I’ve loved every session and really looking forward to the last round of these in May! There are still a few spots available if you’d like to reserve a session with me! I arrive at your house and am there for about 5-10 minutes! Details are included below, but please click right here for an even more detailed post on how it works!

Alright, now back to the pictures! Below you’ll see images from all the final galleries. So far I’ve had the honor of photographing 34 Pacific County families and more to come in May! I was to express a huge thank you to all of you who signed up and participated (and will be participating in May). Each of you have helped me in more ways than you even know to keep spirits high and helping me remember why I love what I do. I’m so grateful to call this place my home.
