Downtown Seattle Courthouse Elopement
As a wedding photographer, I have some "bucket list" items and photographing a downtown Seattle courthouse wedding was on that list when I first started my photography business. I'm drawn to the idea of being part of something so intimate and simple when it comes to a wedding day. Simple doesn't mean it is any less beautiful, or meaningful and these two proved that to me with this wedding at the Courthouse in Seattle. The minute I saw Carly turn that corner in her stunning white jumpsuit and beautiful purple wedding bouquet, I just knew this was going to be an experience I'd never forget!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I love Instagram! It is my favorite social media platform to share my work and behind the scenes moments on my journey! When Carly submitted an inquiry to me, one of the questions is "How did you find me?" because I love to see where people are looking and finding me, I was beyond thrilled to see that she found me on Instagram. My biggest takeaway from this experience with Carly and Austin shooting their downtown courthouse wedding in Seattle was that you don't need the most expensive venue or all the other wedding details that start small but end up costing couples thousands of dollars. What do you need? You need the person you love and the promise of forever. These two brought that (and their parents) to stand in front of a judge on the rooftop terrace of the building and promised each other forever. They are the real deal and while I'd only just met them on their wedding day, I am honored and blessed to have been part of such a special chapter in their lives and now they have pictures to remember and share their wedding day for generations to come. Carly and Austin, I hope our paths cross again and I get the opportunity to see you again! Thank you for reaching out to me and including me on one of the most important days of your lives.
