Hannah + Saum

Sometimes miracles are just good people with kind hearts.

I saw this online recently and it jumped out at me when I think of Hannah and Saum, the beautiful couple you are going to see in this post!  Hannah contacted me over a year ago looking for a wedding photographer and we instantly hit it off over the phone.  While I had not yet met Hannah or Saum, I've known who she is for 7 years, the time I've been with my Husband.  You see, Hannah's family is from the area where my Husband grew up in South Bend, WA.  Shaun grew up with Hannah and their parents were very good friends!  Hannah's mom passed away a few years ago from cancer which was simply devastating.  Her presence was felt throughout the day and she was most certainly there smiling down on Hannah all day long.  Tears were shed, including me behind the camera!

I met Hannah and Saum for the first time in person for their engagement session and all my suspicions about these two were very accurate!

They were kind, loving, easy to work with and a lot of fun.  I could just tell that their upcoming wedding was going to be easy-going and an absolute blast!  We left the session exchanging hugs and I felt connected to these two instantly.  That's really special when it's my job as the photographer to tell such important stories in my clients' lives.  I just knew that their wedding was going to be wonderful, and it was!

I'd never photographed a wedding at the Centralia Square Grand Ballroom and Hotel before, but it was great!

The Centralia Square Grand Ballroom and Hotel in Chehalis is a historic building and landmark in the area.  I'd actually never spent any time in Centralia before Hannah and Saum's wedding, I'd only ever passed by on the freeway.  It was a funky old building and definitely had its quirks like no elevator and long stairs we had to walk up and down all day on haha! My feet and legs were pretty tired at the end of the day! The ceremony/reception area was big and beautiful, but there was zero natural light.  We definitely had to use our flashes, which worked beautifully in the space and I'm so happy with the final result!  Special shout out to my new friend and second shooter Allison with Allison Turcotte Photography!  She was amazing to have by my side, helping me in more ways than I can begin to explain!  Thank you, Allison!

I'm thrilled to share some images from Hannah and Saum's Centralia Square Grand Ballroom and Hotel wedding!  We laughed, we cried, we danced, we sang, we laughed some more and had a ball.  I'm grateful to have been included in such a special time in their lives as they start a new adventure together as Husband and Wife!  Hannah and Saum have been together for 7 years since meeting in the dorms.  They quickly fell in love and never looked back.  I wish these two nothing but the very best.  I KNOW they are going to have a very happy and long life together.  Love you guys!
