Forever Home Series | Why We Chose Laguna Sands LVP

One of the biggest decisions we made for our home was flooring.

After months of looking at samples and walking through countless homes, we landed on Laguna Sands luxury vinyl plank, and I truly don’t think we could have picked a better fit for our family.

We decided to run it throughout almost the entire house—including the bathrooms. The only places we skipped were the bedrooms and our primary closet, where we chose carpet to make those spaces feel a little softer and cozier.

I know tile is the traditional choice for bathrooms, but I’ve just never loved the feeling of cold tile under my feet. I wanted something warm, seamless, and comfortable that could also keep up with real life—kids, a dog, entertaining, and all the little messes that come with a busy home.

Now, I’ll admit one thing…

I’m becoming that homeowner.

We will absolutely have a no outdoor shoes rule. So if you come visit, consider this your friendly warning—you’ll be taking your shoes off at the door. I promise it’ll be worth it.

One of my biggest inspirations was actually my sister’s remodel. I fell in love with her flooring, and while we couldn’t get the exact same product, Laguna Sands was the closest match we found. The moment I saw it paired with our cabinetry, countertops, and paint selections, I knew it was the right choice.

The floors started going in on Thursday just as we were leaving town, so I haven’t seen them finished in person yet. Waiting has been torture! But yesterday our cabinets were delivered, and they’ll start installing on Monday.

It finally feels like all of these individual selections we’ve been making over the last year are coming together into one home.

I can’t wait to walk through the front door, see those floors for the first time, and watch the next chapter begin.
