Krystal + Steve

I was so excited when Krystal and Steve booked me for their winter wedding at Willapa Hills Farm! It’s a spot I’ve been wanting to see for myself since we moved to South Bend and becoming a wedding photographer. Leading up to their wedding day, we experienced a lot of rain here in the PNW, so I was a little nervous for weather. I mean even if we have a ton of rain, I still can make magic behind the camera but clear skies always make my job a whole lot easier! Krystal and Steve are so sweet and have been an absolute joy to work with and get to know over the past year! From their gorgeous engagement session (check it out here!) to the wedding… it’s been amazing!

Krystal is a 911 dispatcher and Steve is a Grays Harbor County Deputy. They met through their work as Krystal works with Steve’s sister. Four years prior to the wedding, they all went out to the Little Creek Casino to celebrate a birthday and that’s where they met. They’ve been talking every day since!

Steve has a daughter, Kinslee — she’s so dang sweet! Witnessing this family merge on their wedding day was so touching and I loved how they incorporated Kinslee into the celebration, vows, and throughout the entire day. You’ll see pictures below!

Krystal and Steve’s Willapa Hills Farm Winter Wedding theme was navy blue with a variety of grays and silver. The special touches throughout made it feel so cozy and warm!

Krystal’s Aunt also made a bunch of fresh wreaths that were so beautiful! I was given a few to take home to enjoy and I’m currently looking at one on my wall as I write this post. Such a sweet touch and so thoughtful of them to send guests home with some! Krystal also made the cutest little ornaments filled with hot cocoa! I was able to bring a few home and Riley LOVED it! I still can’t figure out how the heck she made them!

When I asked Krystal if she has any advice for future brides, she said this:

Wedding planning is so so stressful, so try not to sweat the small stuff. It’s a day about you and your husband and nothing else should get in the way. Try not to make it perfect for everyone else and do what’s best for you and your significant other.

I hope you love these photos as much as I loved capturing them!
