As many of you know, I recently got my hands on my first studio.  I'm waiting for a few little items in here before I do a huge blog post on the before and after journey of this incredible space.  It's been a labor of love but I knew when I walked through it for the first time (well, not really through... more like peeking over mounds and mounds of "stuff"), that it was going to be perfect for me.  I'll get into all those fun details and feelings about the space on the big reveal post but for now, let's just say I'm pretty dang happy with how it all came together.  I have a million things going on at the moment and one of those happens to be my first South Bend, Washington Dream Chasers Workshop!  20 people are coming from all over the country to learn and grow with me here in our sleepy little town.  We will be in town for the first day and a half then everyone will get to drive out to the ranch for our styled shoot.  I can't wait for that moment they drive around the bend and see it... it's a feeling I can't quite put into words.  Our ranch is so special and oh so beautiful.  I just can't wait for everyone to see it and feel it hopefully the way that I do.

So before all this, I really wanted to put together a styled shoot to break in the new space of Emma Rose Company!

No better way to do that then to call my girl Nancy with Rhodesia Flower to help me bring my vision to life.  I wanted a Pacific Northwest theme with grey tones, greenery, and a pop of color in the floral arrangements.  I gave Nancy my mood board and let her run wild.  She and one of her Elixir Coffee Shop employees (and manager) Julia helped me bring it all to life.  They foraged all the greenery from Julia's property which I absolutely love!  When you're putting together a shoot on your own dime, it's important to be mindful of cost.  I'll talk more about that in another post I have planned on how to put together a styled shoot, but until then... I do recommend finding ways to bring uniqueness to your shoot without spending any money.  So Nancy had this idea for draping greenery on my beautiful white feature wall and I told her to do whatever she wanted!  She and Julia came in bright and early while I was in here doing my own styling to turn her idea into a reality.  Here's a few photos of the girls getting everything together!  And yes, we drank mimosas.

PS- her adorable green overalls are from TARGET.  So. Dang. Cute.

She is so talented, am I right?  And those overalls?  I die!  I seriously wish I could pull those off.  They are so Nancy and they are so damn cute.  When I work with vendors on stuff like this, I think it's incredibly important to document EVERYTHING that I can, including behind the scenes.  These are images that she will be able to use for marketing, not just pictures of all the pretties for the actual shoot.  I'm passionate about building relationships with vendors that I love and trust and part of the way I do that is going above and beyond to provide them with more than they expect when it comes to images.  More on that, later.

We had a wonderful morning putting together this PNW studio inspired styled shoot here in my new studio and it came together even more beautiful that I could have ever imagined.

South Bend, Washington is beautiful.  We are tucked on the Willapa Bay, right on highway 101.  With so much traffic coming through our town every day, Nancy and I are working so hard to bring more life and business to our community.  It's shoots like this that make me so excited about living here and showing the community and visitors what we do and who we are.  I'm going to stop rambling now and let you see all the gorgeousness that went down in my new South Bend, Washington studio!  I hope you love these as much as I do!  Huge thank you to my models Brooke and Brendan!  You are going to see two dresses in this series.  I rented a gown from Rent the Runway that was the primary focus of the shoot with the grey tones, but I was also given a dress to use from a cute little boutique down in Astoria!  The second dress is totally vintage, and totally amazing.  I can't wait to try more of her stuff in the future!  All vendor credits are at the bottom of the post.
