Harsh light is something I used to be afraid of as a photographer.  "OH crap, there is NO SHADE? WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?"  Then I surprised myself time and time again with just how much I love harsh light.  I'd honestly be lying if I didn't admit that it used to terrify me but I quickly got over that once I figured out HOW to capture beautiful imagery in harsh lighting conditions.

Saying Goodbye to Fall with Riley Mae

don't know WHAT it is about FALL time, but it is just my favorite.  It's probably the pumpkin spice lattes, changing colors on the trees and crisp air that makes me fall in love with the season over and over again with each passing year.  Riley and I went on a little adventure when I saw the beautiful sun outside... calling our names!  Of course I wanted a photo opportunity, too!  I dressed Riley in a new little dress I found on Zulily!

A Beautiful Irish Wedding in the Fall | Cashmere, Washington | Kara and Saun

Kara and Saun's love story all started on a snowy day at Mission Ridge: one snowboarding lesson, one bruised tailbone, and one Mike's Hard Lemonade later - for Kara's 21st birthday - they didn't fall in love BUT fast forward two weeks, at the ever classy Applebee's Bar, they exchanged numbers. How To Deal With Burnout as a Creative Entrepreneur

Oh burnout... I wish you didn't exist.  But you do, so I think it's time to talk about it.  I want to talk about it especially as yet another year is coming to an end (almost - we still have some time left!)  'Burnout' is a word we often hear in the creative community, and not just from people who run their own business or freelance.  It's a state of emotional, physical and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress.
